The Founders

Husband &
Wife.

BONBOGA was not designed by a committee or funded by a corporation. It was conceived by two people who looked at Pedernales and saw what it could become.

Javier Stephan
Bonnet Bogaert
Dominican entrepreneur and visionary. Author of the BONBOGA concept — a $300M private investment to transform the southwest Caribbean coast of the Dominican Republic into a socially inclusive urban destination that serves every income level equally.
His conviction: that the most beautiful places in the world should not belong only to the wealthy. That tourism and community are not opponents — they are the same story, told together.
Veronika
Oganian
A lifelong observer of space, culture, and beauty — Veronika brings to BONBOGA what cannot be taught: the instinct to see a place not as it is, but as it could feel. She reads spaces the way others read books, and translates what she finds into concepts that are unmistakably BONBOGA. Co-creator of the project vision and the social philosophy that makes this development unlike any other in the Caribbean.
Her conviction: that the world's most beautiful places carry a feeling that exists before any architect arrives — and that the job of design is simply to listen to it.

A Name That
Means Everything
